Google Confirms Algorithm Update Occurred Last Week
Google has confirmed that a broad core algorithm update was released last week.
This is the type of update that occurs several times per year, Google says, which could bring one or more changes to search results.
Google was not specific as to what changes were implemented— it could be anything from changes focused on specific improvements, to broad changes affecting all search results.

Google Shopping: How To Dominate AdWords as an e-Commerce Business
The 2017 Google shopping benchmarks report discovered that Google Shopping ads captured 53% of retail marketers’ AdWords budgets.
Another study for the first quarter of 2018, shows that almost 80% of all retail search ad spend is used on Google Shopping campaigns.
As of 2018, Google Shopping ads now drive 76.4% of all retail search ad spend and this search spend generates 85.3% of all clicks.

Google Engineer Issues Warning About Google Crawler
A Google engineer issued a “public service announcement” notifying web publishers that Google does not support CSS custom properties.
The engineer stated that Google’s crawler is rendering sites using an outdated version of Chrome, Chrome 41, which dates from March 2015 .
This means that Google’s crawler will not be able to render the web page properly.
