Facebook introduces Online Singing Battles
Facebook continues to strive for a tighter grip on live video streaming, this time by taking a page from the Musical.ly playbook.
Recently unearthed was a bit of Facebook code pertaining to something called “The Talent Show,” which pits users against one another in a virtual singing showdown.
According to analysts, the feature would allow users to pick a song from a preloaded archive, lay down a recording, and submit.

Snapchat now has a Speech Recognition Lens
Look out world: a brand new Snapchat lens will allow users to interact via voice command.
A series of lenses will now animate when users speak simple words such as “yes,” “no,” “wow,” “hi,” and even “love” when engaging the new voice-sensitive filters.
True to form, some lenses will also respond to actions and facial movements, but now saying “hi” will commence a preloaded animation of chatty birds.
