Five Social Media Metrics You Need To Be Tracking

Most social media outlets provide users with large followings easy access metrics. These take all the guesswork out of the process. But according to Open Colleges’ Tess Pajaron, you don’t have to measure much when the platform is already handling it for you.

One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to assume the common predetermined metrics are enough. There are plenty of other things you should be measuring to make sure your reach and engagement are as high as they can possibly be.

5 Rules for Writing Sales Emails

It’s easy to think of ways not to write a sales email. You know you shouldn’t brag endlessly about your business, never considering why your prospect should care. You know you shouldn’t straight up ask someone to buy from you before you’ve even talked.

Instagram Launches Instagram Stories: What They Are, How They Work, and How Brands Can Use Them

In a bold move to encourage its users to create and share more content on the platform, Instagram has announced Instagram Stories, a feature that lets users post photos and videos that vanish after 24 hours.

Sex Versus Comedy: What Sells Best?

The adage ‘sex sells’ is an oldie but a goodie. If you’re looking to stir debate within marketing circles, drop it into conversion. Still, using sex appeal to sell your wares only works for some brands. For the others, there’s comedy. Aussies love a campaign that tickles their funny bone but if your brand could go in either direction, which approach is most effective? In this guest post, ADMA explores.

In order to answer the question of whether sex or comedy sells best, we spoke to two brands, one synonymous with sex and the other intrinsically linked to comedy.

LinkedIn Moves into Native Video with New Q and A Style Offering for Influencers

As you’ve not doubt noticed, video has seen massive growth on social networks over the past few years. Facebook grew from one billion videos views per day to 8 billion within the space of fourteen months, Snapchat went from 4 billion to 10 billion in less than a year. Even on Instagram, where video hasn’t been given as much focus, video consumption has gone up 150% in the last six months, while videos on Twitter have increased by more than 50% since the beginning of 2016.

Given the focus on video from all the major players (Pinterest too is working on video pins), it comes as little surprise to see LinkedIn also move in-step, today announcing a new, native video option that will eventually enable users of the professional social network to better connect with prospective businesses partners and employers through the power of moving images.
