“Over 90% of Snapchatters opt-in to share their location, and they interact with Snapchat approximately 25 times a day.”
That gives Snap a heap of data on locations, including the stores they visit, the restaurants they go to, etc.

Snapchat Rolls Out 6-Second, Unskippable Ads in Shows
Snapchat is now rolling out its new, unskippable, 6-second ads, forcing users to sit through commercials.
First off, it’s not as bad as it may seem – the 6-second ads are not being inserted in or around user content
They’ll only be available within Snap’s shows, the professionally created content published to the app from companies like Disney, Viacom and ESPN.

Latest Pew Research Data Shows Snapchat Continues to Maintain Hold on Younger Audiences
Facebook remains the leading social media platform by a significant margin, but younger users are also turning to Snapchat and Instagram at very high rates.
Pew surveyed more than 2000 U.S. adults (aged 18 or over) in January to get a pulse of social media usage trends amongst American audiences.
With the exception of those 65 and older, a majority of Americans across a wide range of demographic groups now use Facebook.

Weeks after opening their own, in-app Snap Store, selling official Snapchat merchandise (like ‘Dog Lens’ t-shirts and Dancing Hot Dog costumes)
Snapchat has launched its first brand collaboration along similar lines, enabling users to purchase the latest pair of Jordan brand sneakers completely within the app.
