Google’s Webmaster Central announced an SEO Audit category to their Chrome Lighthouse developers extension.
Should you get excited? The plugin is deceptively basic.
However, it’s worth a look because if some of the factors the plugin measures correlate to actual ranking factors, then it may be worthwhile to add this to your SEO toolbox.

Facebook Expands Rights Manager to Cover Video Content Posted to Instagram
Facebook has announced that it has expanded its Rights Manager tool to help monitor and protect video on Instagram, in addition to Facebook.
While we’ve always provided tools for rights owners to report potential IP violations on Instagram, now Rights Manager offers another way to help protect your videos.”
Rights Manager works by cross-referencing your uploaded video content against other uploads, and alerting content owners to potential violations.

Snapchat Will Live-Stream Winter Olympics Content in New Agreement with NBC
Snapchat allows live-streaming, that Snap was among the first platforms that pushed the live trend.
But it isn’t, and it doesn’t. While Snapchat’s focus has long been on immediacy, and connecting people via content that disappears after a certain time, live-streaming has never been part of that.
For the simple reason that Snapchat hasn’t seen huge demand for such an offering.

Snapchat’s latest performance report came in better than expected
The pressure on the app doesn’t look like it’ll be easing up anytime soon, with Facebook-owned Instagram working to add in new tools and features, and extend its lead in the social Stories race.
Instagram has confirmed that it’s testing out a new Stories feature which will enable users to share public Instagram posts – either theirs or anyone else’s – direct to their Story in one click.
