Facebook Can Now Evaluate False Headlines Separately from False Articles
Facebook confirmed that it is now able to penalize false news and false headlines separately, after concerns that the two are not always connected.
"Now [Facebook] fact-checkers can either rate an entire story or just a headline as false, although the latter is demoted in News Feed less than the former."
The revision came up due to concerns around a specific case from last month, in which this article from Think Progress was marked as false and subsequently demoted in the News Feed.

Instagram, Snapchat Continue to Lead in Teen Usage, While Facebook Continues to Decline
Snapchat remains the most popular social platform among younger audiences, but Instagram is now seeing more usage.
That's according to a new report from Piper Jaffray, which incorporates responses from 8,600 teens, with an average age of 16, from across 48 US states.
Researchers sought to gain insights into a range of trends, including social media usage, and have revealed, once again, that Snapchat, while it may not be growing at the rate it once was, remains highly influential.
